McCain Suspends Campaign To Focus On Economy; Wants Debate Delay
How brilliantly smart is this? This is a message to those swing voters out there that there is only one grownup in this election and it is not Obama. Now the Obama folks are trying to put out the spin that McCain is trying to duck the debate. Oh yeah Obama camp, McCain is scared of a foreign policy debate. That will sell to the American people.
Final Thought- With the President speaking tonight and McCain off to Washington, the Republicans are finally taking leadership on this bill and putting as McCain would say "Country First." The American people will take notice, stay tuned for the ensuing nose dive for the Obama campaign poll numbers..

The MSM will do whatever they can to make Obama look good, but the fact is McCain and Obama already have jobs and McCain is challenging Obama to do his. Obama has no idea how to do this because all he has done since becoming a senator is run for President. McCain is showing what it means to be a leader!!
Obama rebuffed the proposal. “It’s my belief that this is exactly the time the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible with dealing with this mess," he told reporters in Florida, where he has been prepping for Friday's event. "What I think is important is that we don’t suddenly infuse Capitol Hill with presidential politics," he said. He also took a real shot at McCain: "Presidents are going to have to deal with more than one thing at a time," Obama said. "It’s not necessary for us to think that we can do only one thing, and suspend everything else."What a freaken creep that Bambi is......
But McCain didn't flinch, "We must show that kind of patriotism now," McCain said.
John McCAIN is once again showing his COUNTRY FIRST leadership .
"Call me if you need me"?!?!?!
The President does not get to say that! The President is a leader who does the calling!! OBAMA IS NOT A LEADER!!!
I hope President Bush lets the nation know he is glad Senator McCain decided to put the country first and come to Washington to save our economy.
"COUNTRY FIRST" brings a reaction from the left like a vampire seeing a cross!! Palin, too, gets that kind of reaction!:
"Get that light out of our eyes....HELP! FACTS? ARGH! HELP, I"M MELTING....."!!!
Good luck with your new blog! Great start!! Sing it, sista!

I agree, this is going to be a tough sell.
I think this is more of a loser for Obama than a win for McCain. Some will see it as a political stunt. For Obama though, he's going o look like a chump out campaigning the next two days and prepping for his debate when McCain is in Washington showing leadership and doing his job.
Plus, note that McCain said he would suspend campaigning. This doesn't prevent others, I saw Leiberman on tv today, from helping drive the point home that Obama is not in DC.
If Obama thinks America wants to sit and watch his "one sided" debate, he has another thing coming...
Obama needs a backbone and McCain just threw him one by inviting him to act like a leader-- unfortunately Obama's ARROGANCE puts him so "above it all" that all he can see is the dust cloud left behind as McCain made a bee-line to Washington to try and help this mess (that oh-yah... Obama's people helped to create!)
Left in the dust again, and Obama is left stammering. What a shame that 40% of the American people can be so EASILY deceived.
I don't see how canceling the debates is necessary. They should do them on their usual day off, which is Sunday. I think both sides are capable of working on their day off. Besides, that would still give Palin enough time to get a tan AND memorize the three things she'll repeat over and over again.
Saw this after I posted earlier. Red State poses the question "Should McCain Send Palin To Debate Obama"
Really interesting case for it here:

Well, it was a brilliant move by McCain, and I actually give him credit for doing the right thing whether it was politically motivated or not. The problem is Bush may have just saved Obama's bacon by calling him to Washington. Now Obama can say he was there trying to hammer out a solution to this mess with the president. Damn Bush! Obama was digging his own hole with his arrogance. At least he admitted he had nothing to offer by saying they could just call him "..if they need him...". Give me a break.
